Supported frameworks

Every framework
your vendors hold.

SOC 2

Attestation

The baseline vendor qualification for enterprise SaaS procurement. TrustVendor monitors SOC 2 report currency and extracts exception tables from Type II reports automatically.

Learn more

SOC 2 Type I

Attestation

Point-in-time control design assessment. TrustVendor tracks report date and flags when a Type I has not been followed by a Type II within 12 months.

Learn more

SOC 2 Type II

Attestation

Operating effectiveness over a 6–12 month audit period — the gold standard for SaaS vendor attestation. TrustVendor extracts exceptions relevant to your data classes.

Learn more

ISO 27001

Certification

International standard for information security management systems. Certificates are valid for three years with annual surveillance audits — TrustVendor tracks all three milestones.

Learn more

ISO 27017

Certification

Cloud-specific security controls extending ISO 27001. Increasingly required for multi-tenant SaaS vendors alongside their primary ISO 27001 certification.

Learn more

ISO 27018

Certification

Protection of PII in public clouds. Maps closely to GDPR processor requirements and is commonly required by data protection officers evaluating cloud vendors.

Learn more

HIPAA

Regulatory

US federal law governing protected health information. TrustVendor tracks BAA availability, HIPAA attestation status, and any disclosed OCR enforcement actions.

Learn more

PCI DSS

Standard

Payment card data security standard. TrustVendor tracks PCI DSS level, last validation date, and ROC publication for Level 1 merchants.

Learn more

GDPR

Regulatory

EU data protection regulation. TrustVendor monitors DPA availability and subprocessor additions that may affect international transfer compliance.

Learn more

FedRAMP Moderate

Authorization

325 NIST 800-53 controls — required for cloud vendors handling moderately sensitive federal data. TrustVendor tracks FedRAMP Marketplace listing and authorization expiry.

Learn more

FedRAMP High

Authorization

421 NIST 800-53 controls — required for DoD, law enforcement, and emergency services use cases. Very few commercial SaaS vendors hold this authorization.

How monitoring works

Continuous, cited,
always current.

Extract 01

The Extractor agent reads trust centres, ISO registry lookups, and FedRAMP Marketplace listings on a continuous schedule. Certifications are stored as structured claims with predicate, object, expiry date, and artifact citation.

Age 02

Every claim carries an evidence half-life. A SOC 2 Type II decays more slowly than a HIPAA self-attestation. Assurance scores reflect evidence age, not just certification presence.

Alert 03

Signals fire 90, 60, and 30 days before any certification in your portfolio lapses. Changes — scope reductions, new exceptions, lapses — are routed within the severity SLA for that framework.

Common questions

Answered plainly.

How does TrustVendor track compliance certifications across my vendor portfolio?
The Extractor agent monitors vendor trust centres, ISO certification body registries, and the FedRAMP Marketplace continuously. Every certification is stored as an agent-produced claim with an expiry date and an artifact citation. TrustVendor alerts you 90, 60, and 30 days before any certification in your monitored portfolio lapses — before your auditor asks.
Which compliance frameworks does TrustVendor cover?
SOC 2 Type I and II, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, HIPAA, PCI DSS, FedRAMP Moderate, FedRAMP High, and GDPR. Each framework has an explicit evidence half-life — a SOC 2 Type II decays more slowly than a HIPAA self-attestation claim. Score components reflect evidence age, not just certification presence.
Can TrustVendor extract exceptions from a SOC 2 Type II report?
Yes. When a full SOC 2 Type II report is available — either from a public trust centre or uploaded by a workspace user under NDA — the Extractor agent processes the exception table. Exceptions are surfaced as claim-backed signals relevant to your data classes. A confidentiality exception for a vendor you share PII with is flagged differently from the same exception for a vendor with whom you share only telemetry.
How does TrustVendor handle GDPR subprocessor tracking?
The Extractor agent monitors vendor subprocessor lists continuously. When a new subprocessor is added in a jurisdiction not covered by your SCCs, the Triage agent scores the change as material and routes a signal to your workspace. The signal carries the artifact ID and extractor version that detected the addition — your team can open the evidence drawer and see the exact source text.
Does TrustVendor work with HIPAA BAA management?
TrustVendor monitors publicly available HIPAA attestations and BAA availability disclosures on vendor trust centres. For BAA execution itself, TrustVendor integrates with your existing contract management workflow — the evidence layer tracks whether a BAA template is published; your legal team handles execution. Signed BAAs uploaded to the workspace are processed by the Extractor agent and stored as tenant-scoped evidence.
